This privacy policy is from Leading with Obeya (LWO) (“Obeya”, “we”, “us”, or “ours”), incorporated in The Netherlands at the address Transistorstraat 91 unit 27 in Almere, operating the site https://leadingwithobeya.com.

In this privacy policy you will find information about how we collect and deal with personal data, your rights with regard to personal data and how you can make use of those rights. We also inform you on how cookies are collected, processed and stored and for what purposes this is done.

This privacy policy may at times be edited, for example because of legislative changes. It is therefore advised to consult this privacy policy periodically. This privacy policy has lastly been updated on 10 April 2023.

Personal data that we process

We can collect the following personal data from you:

  • first and last name;
  • e-mail address;
  • company name;
  • address;
  • phone number;
  • data about your certificates and presence at LWO events;
  • details about possible allergies, which personal data we only collect if you have given this to us voluntarily;
  • other personal data that you actively provide to us for example via contacting us through our website.

We have received such personal data from you because you have ordered an e-training or registered for a training, coaching or consultancy session or you have contacted us through the contact form on our website or in any other way.

In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address and location used to connect your computer or mobile device to the internet; as well as other connection information, like information about your (mobile) operating system, the type of internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

​We also use software tools, like Google Analytics, to measure and collect session information, like the time and length of your use of the app or visit to our website, activity data, response times, interaction information and methods used to browse away. We further explain the way that this is done and the cookies that are used for this under ‘Cookies’ below.

 

For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

​We may use the personal data we collect from you in the following ways:

  • to allow us to respond to your questions, inquiries or requests,
  • to offer you and facilitate our trainings, coaching sessions, consultancy services and any other products or services, like books and/or the Obeya board,
  • to maintain and improve our services as well as the functioning of the website;

If you have provided us with information about your allergies, we only process such information so that we can take it into account. We use this information solely for this purpose and we only share this personal data with the restaurants or catering parties when necessary for preparing your meal. Such personal data will not be shared or used by us for any other purposes.

If you have registered for our community LWO Network, we will use your personal data to create your login details.

We may also use your email address for (external) marketing and advertising purposes, for example our newsletter or mailings about network meetings and workshops. We will use your personal data for such purposes only if you have previously indicated that you wish to receive such messages. We give you the opportunity to unsubscribe in each and every mailing that we send you. You can contact us using the contact details provided at the end of this privacy policy, i if you no longer wish to receiving mailings or be targeted by any external marketing or advertising parties. We will make sure you will be unsubscribed as soon as possible.

We do not process your personal data for other purposes and only with your explicit consent or for the implementation of the agreement that we have entered into with you.

 

Sharing of personal data with third parties

Obeya shares personal data with the following third parties.

We use the online training platform Pluvo, our trainings run on this platform.

We use the CRM system Monday for our lead and customer relation management.

We use SimpelCert for creating certificates for our trainings.

We use Memberpress to process your registration for LWO Network.

We share personal data with the plugin WooCommerce that processes the payment of an e-training on our website.

We also share personal data with the bookkeeping system Moneybird.

Lastly, we share personal data with the newsletter service Mailchimp for sending our newsletter.

When we provide your personal data to a third party, we ensure through an agreement that your personal data is not used for any other purpose. This way we also make sure that your personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for this purpose.

We will not provide the personal data that you provide to us to other third parties, unless this is required by law.

 

Cookies

Obeya uses cookies and similar technologies (“cookies”) to track the activity on our website, to help us analyze the use of our website or for marketing purposes.

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit our website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website. They are for your ease of use and ensure that the website works properly, identifies you and, for example, remembers your preferences. We may also use cookies to optimize our website.

Google Analytics collects (anonymous) data on visitor behaviour on the website. This way we can see how visitors navigate through the website. We use this information to optimize the operation and design of our website.

The information that Google collects is made anonymous as much as possible. Your IP address is explicitly not given. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google adheres to the Privacy Shield principles of the US Department of Commerce.

Opt-out from tracking behaviour

You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies or by adjusting the settings on your mobile device. In addition, you can also delete all information that has previously been saved via the settings of your browser or mobile device. It is possible that in that case you will not be able to use all functions of our website or game anymore.

 

Children

We do not intend to collect data about visitors of the website who are younger than 16 years of age. Since we cannot check whether a visitor or user is older than 16, we advise parents and guardians to be involved in the online activities of their children, to prevent personal data being collected from them without parental consent. How we protect personal data

Obeya takes the protection of your personal data seriously and takes suitable and appropriate security measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes of personal data.

How long we keep personal data

​Your personal data will be stored by us for a longer period of time, but never longer than necessary for realizing the goal(s) for which the data was collected, unless we are required by law to keep your data longer than that.

We have no control over, do not review, and are not responsible or liable for these outside websites or their content. View, modify or delete personal data

You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Obeya. You also have the right to data transferability if the processing is carried by automated means. You can submit a request to us to send you the personal data that we have about you in a structured, common and machine-readable form.

To ensure that the request has been made by you, we request that you also send a copy of your proof of identity, in which the passport photo, the numbers at the bottom of the passport, the identification number and social security number are made unreadable.
